Center for the Exploration of the Origin of the Universe

Center for the EXploration of the Origion of the Universe is located on the Gwanak campus of the Seoul National University. It is located at the Building #45.

For a foreign traveler, it could be an adventurous to get to the Center Program(Building Number 45) at the Seoul National University (SNU). We list several directions to the center.

1. There is a public airport limousine bus (#6003) which serves between Incheon International Airport and Seoul National University. It stops at the main gate of the University.

2. Purchase a ticket for the #6003 and take a #6003 bus at the bus stop 6B or 13A (see figure below). The ticket booths are located close to the bus stops. The bus fare is 8,000 Won in Korean currency. It takes about eighty minutes during off-hours to get from the airport to the university, The bus runs daily from daily from 5:00 AM to 8:45 PM in every 12-20 minutes. There is no charge for the normal amount of baggage.

4. The final stop of the bus is the main gate of the Seoul National University. Since the main gate is still beyond the walking distance from the Center building, you need to take a Campus Shuttles.

5. On-Campus Circulation Shuttle Buses are free of charge.
On campus, you may choose to get around by on- campus circulation shuttle buses. Many students take this shuttle bus line after arriving at the main gate of SNU by city bus or airplane limousine bus. Route is circulating the whole campus counterclockwise, following the boundary of it. This route includes 18 bus stops starting from the main gate of SNU and ending at the College of Business Administration (Bldg. 58). During the academic year, this shuttle bus runs from 08:00 to 19:00 and ends one hour earlier during Summer/Winter Sessions. 6. Center is located at the Building #45.
You take a Shuttle Bus , Get off #11station.

B. Taxi
You can always take a taxi at the airport.
1. At the airport, take a taxi and show the driver this map with directions all the way to the Center.
Taxis are available on the Arrival Floor.

2. Note that there are two types of taxis: Black Delux taxis (expensive with larger space) and Normal taxis. If you take a normal taxi, you will be asked to pay around 70,000 Won in Korean currency when you arrive. (Black Delux taxi will cost you 100,000 Won.) It takes one hour or so under normal traffic conditions. Taxis are available 24 hours a day and will hold four passengers.

C. Airport Railroad + Subway + Bus

1. There is Airport Railroad Express (AREX) at the B1 floor of Incheon International Airport. AREX runs to Gimpo Airport, from 05:27 AM to 23:36 PM approximately every 10 minutes. The fair is 3,200 Won (Korean currency).

2. At Gimpo Airport, buy a subway ticket amounting to 1,200 Won and transfer to subway line #5 (Purple line).

3. At Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station (Station #523 or #236), transfer to line #2 (Green line) in the direction toward Seoul National University Station (#228).

When you come out exit #3 of Seoul Nat'l Univ. Station, you will find a bus stop.

5. Take the bus No.5511, which runs every 10-15 minutes.
